EdTech Awards
Honouring the platforms, tools and teams reshaping how the world teaches, trains and learns.
A defining moment for education technology
Why the EdTech Awards Matter Now
Education technology has moved from the margins of the classroom to the centre of how institutions, employers and learners operate. What began as digital substitutes for textbooks and overhead projectors has grown into a connected ecosystem of adaptive learning engines, virtual classrooms, credentialing platforms, AI tutors and workforce-reskilling marketplaces. Today a single product decision can change outcomes for millions of students across continents, languages and ability levels.
The EdTech Awards, part of the World Technology Awards, exist to identify and celebrate the organisations driving that change responsibly. In a crowded market where claims of "personalisation" and "engagement" are easy to make and hard to verify, independent recognition gives buyers, investors and policymakers a trusted signal. Our judging looks past polished demos to the evidence that actually matters: measurable learning gains, accessibility, retention, and the integrity of how student data is handled.
For winners, the value compounds. A World Technology Award is a credibility marker in procurement conversations with ministries, universities and enterprise L&D teams, a differentiator in competitive funding rounds, and a morale signal to the engineers and educators who built the product. Recognition here is not a vanity badge — it is proof that your work stands up to expert scrutiny. 🎓

The upside
Benefits of Winning
Procurement-Grade Credibility
An independent World Technology Award shortens sales cycles with cautious buyers — universities, school districts, ministries and enterprise L&D teams who need third-party assurance before they commit budget.
Investor & Partner Confidence
Recognition validates your traction story. Winners use the accolade in fundraising decks, partnership pitches and board updates to signal that experts, not just users, rate the product.
Global Visibility
Featured placement across our winners' showcase, press outreach and digital channels puts your brand in front of decision-makers and the education technology community worldwide.
Talent & Team Morale
Public recognition of your engineers and educators strengthens retention and recruitment — mission-driven talent wants to build award-winning products that demonstrably improve lives.

Questions
EdTech Awards FAQ
Any organisation whose product or service supports learning, teaching, assessment or credentialing is eligible — from K-12 and higher-education platforms to corporate L&D providers, AI tutoring tools, immersive learning studios and EdTech infrastructure vendors. Both established companies and early-stage startups can enter the categories that fit them best.
The strongest entries provide measurable learning outcomes, engagement and retention data, accessibility details, and any independent validation or case studies. Quantitative proof of impact carries the most weight, especially for the Excellence in Learning Outcomes category, but a clear narrative about the problem you solve is equally important.
Yes. The EdTech Startup of the Year and Best Emerging EdTech categories are designed specifically for younger ventures and are judged on traction, vision and potential rather than raw scale. Startups are not measured against multinational incumbents in those categories.
Data privacy and trust is one of our six core criteria. Judges assess how responsibly you collect, store and use learner data, your transparency with users and institutions, and your alignment with relevant education and data-protection regulations. Solutions that treat privacy as a feature, not an afterthought, score higher.
Yes. Many organisations submit a flagship Company of the Year entry alongside a Product of the Year or Innovation entry for a specific tool. Each submission is judged independently on its own merits, so choose the categories where your evidence is strongest.
