Very early. We welcome pre-seed and seed ventures with a working prototype or first customers, all the way through to scaling Series A companies. The Best Emerging Startup track is built specifically for teams under three years old, while the Startup of the Year and High-Growth Scale-Up honours suit ventures with more established traction.
Judges look for proof, not promises. Strong entries include traction metrics such as revenue, active users or retention, a clear explanation of what makes the innovation novel, evidence of technical quality, and a credible view of how the business scales. Customer testimonials, pilot results and funding milestones all strengthen a submission.
Yes. Many ventures qualify for several honours — for example, both Breakthrough Product of the Year and Founder of the Year. You may submit to each relevant track, and the panel will assess every entry on its own merits against the criteria for that specific award.
Entries are reviewed by an independent panel of venture investors, experienced operators and senior technologists. Reviewers are screened for conflicts of interest, and scoring is applied consistently across the six published criteria so that every startup is judged on the same basis.
