Tech Founder Awards Questions
Any founder or co-founder of a technology company is eligible, regardless of company stage, funding status or region. We recognise solo and bootstrapped founders, venture-backed leaders, serial entrepreneurs, deep-tech researchers and young founders. Dedicated categories such as Best Emerging Founder and Founder of the Year ensure entrants compete against genuine peers.
Both routes are welcome. Self-nomination is common and carries no disadvantage in judging — founders know their own results best. You may also be nominated by a colleague, investor, board member or partner. Either way, the evaluation focuses entirely on the evidence submitted, not on who submitted it.
An independent panel scores each nomination against six weighted criteria: vision and originality, execution and results, innovation, leadership and team, resilience and capital discipline, and impact and responsibility. We prioritise verifiable outcomes over narrative, so concrete metrics and evidence strengthen any entry significantly.
No. Neither profitability nor venture funding is required. Bootstrapped founders who achieve capital efficiency are judged on their merits, just as funded founders are judged on the responsible deployment of capital. A compelling entry combines a clear founding story with hard evidence: growth and retention figures, customer outcomes, product milestones, team and culture indicators, and any social or environmental impact. Specific, recent, verifiable data is far more persuasive than broad claims. The strongest submissions connect the founder's personal decisions to measurable company results.
